Purchase Engineer

Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for electrical components, raw materials, and consumables, ensuring alignment with production schedules and quality standards. 2. Cultivate and maintain a robust vendor base for low voltage switchgear and related products, focusing on long-term partnerships that drive value. 3. Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers, aiming for cost efficiency without compromising quality. 4. Prepare, process, and track purchase orders in strict accordance with company policies and operational requirements. 5. Ensure timely delivery of materials, collaborating with production and planning teams to avoid delays and optimize workflow. 6. Monitor inventory levels meticulously, implementing strategies to prevent stock shortages or excess inventory. 7. Conduct vendor evaluations and performance assessments regularly to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably within the electrical manufacturing or switchgear industry. - Strong knowledge of electrical components and switchgear products, coupled with effective vendor management experience. - Proficient in ERP systems (such as SAP, Tally, or similar) to streamline procurement processes. - Exceptional negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving favorable terms. - Strong analytical abilities and cost-comparison skills to evaluate supplier proposals effectively. - Excellent communication and coordination skills to interact with internal teams and external vendors. Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with preparing and processing purchase orders is a plus, enhancing your capability to manage procurement tasks seamlessly. - Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, showcasing your ability to adapt and solve problems swiftly.
