Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the CBSE curriculum for grades 6, 7, and 8 Math, ensuring a clear progression of skills and concepts. 2. Utilize Project-Based Learning and Inquiry-Based Learning strategies to create interactive and engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and problem-solving. 3. Manage classroom dynamics effectively, maintaining a positive and disciplined learning environment that encourages student participation. 4. Assess student progress through various evaluation methods, including formative and summative assessments, and provide constructive feedback to enhance student learning outcomes. 5. Integrate smartboard technology and mathematics software (e.g., GeoGebra) into daily instruction to enhance student engagement and understanding of mathematical concepts. 6. Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and best practices to support a cohesive teaching approach across the department. 7. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends, technologies, and pedagogical practices in mathematics education. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) with a specialization in Mathematics or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school, demonstrating expertise in the subject matter. - Proficient in using technology in the classroom, particularly smartboard technology and mathematics software. - Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive environment for diverse learners. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Preferred Qualifications: - Master’s degree in Mathematics Education or a related field. - Experience with differentiated instruction techniques to accommodate different learning styles. - Familiarity with curriculum development and the ability to contribute to the enhancement of the school’s mathematics program. - Previous experience leading extracurricular math-related activities or clubs.
